As part of TecDay, 15 students from Kantonsschule Willisau were given a compact, practical insight into the world of intelligent crane technology. In our module, they assembled mechanical and electrical components of a crane hoist, combined them and put the system into operation themselves.
To lighten the mood, everyone had the opportunity to operate a crane themselves and test their own skills. The young people were also able to experience a fully-fledged crane up close in our workshop – including its technology, dimensions and functionality.
The day impressively demonstrated how mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics and software interact today and how much expertise goes into modern crane technology.
A big thank you to all the employees who made this exciting insight possible.
Thanks also to the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences SATW!
